  13.     Thank you for using the Cambridge Greyhound Handicapper. This
  14.     updated version of our popular program will make your
  15.     handicapping even easier and more accurate.
  16.  
  17.         *  This is a self-browsing file. You can scroll through it by
  18.            using your CURSOR keys, PgUp and PgDn. Hit F1 for help.

  22.         *  To return to DOS, hit the ESC key.

  24.     We'd like to remind you that this is a Shareware, or User-
  25.     Supported program. If you like it and use it, we ask that
  26.     register the program. Registered owners will receive an ENHANCED
  27.     version of the program with even more features to make your
  28.     handicpping time more productive. Be sure to read the manual for
  29.     information about our Enhanced handicapping programs. You can
  30.     fill in an on-line registration form while you're running the
  31.     program, use the printed form at the end of the manual, or call
  32.     our Toll-Free Order Line: 1-800-846-4319.

  34.     Before you start handicapping, please make a copy of your
  35.     original disk and work from the copy. Put the original in a safe
  36.     place.
  37.  
  38.     It's also a good idea to print the manual before you start. To
  39.     print the manual, make sure your printer is on line. If you're
  40.     using a dot matrix printer, make sure the print head is at the
  41.     very top of a page. Then type PRINTME and hit ENTER. The manual
  42.     will be sent to your printer. It is completely formatted and
  43.     requires 36 sheets of paper.
  44.  
  45.     Please read the installation instructions on Page 6. They'll tell
  46.     you how to get the program up and running on a floppy or hard
  47.     drive system.
  48.  
  49.     If you downloaded the program from a bulletin board or received
  50.     it in an archived format (most likely a ZIP file), all you have
  51.     to do is create a directory on your hard disk for the program and
  52.     UnZip it there.
  53.  
  54.     If you received the program on a disk with standard file formats,
  55.     here's a quick installation guide for setting the program up on
  56.     your hard drive or a floppy.

  58.     Hard Disk Installation (Drive C)
  59.  
  60.        1.  Put the Handicapper disk in Drive A:
  61.  
  62.        2.  Type A: and hit ENTER.
  63.  
  64.        3.  Type HINSTALL C: and hit ENTER.
  65.  
  66.        4.  The program will be installed on your hard disk in a
  67.            directory called C:\HOUNDSW.

  69.     Floppy Disk Installation (Drive B)
  70.  
  71.        1.  Put the Handicapper Disk in Drive A:

  73.        2.  Put a Formatted floppy in Drive B:
  74.  
  75.        3.  Type A: and hit ENTER.

  77.        4.  Type FINSTALL B: and hit ENTER

  79.        5.  The Program (without the manual) will be installed on
  80.            Drive B:

  82.          NOTE: If you're installing from Drive B to Drive A, just
  83.          reverse the drive designations above.

  85.     Running the Program
  86.  
  87.     To run the Thoroughbred program, switch to the drive or directory
  88.     containing the program. Then type HOUNDS45 and hit ENTER.
  89.  
  90.     Please do not run any of the EXE files directly or they won't
  91.     work properly. Use HOUNDS45.BAT to launch the program.
